Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

ResourceClips publishes evidence-led explanatory journalism about mining and minerals. Editorial relevance, accuracy and usefulness to readers determine what appears on the site.

Sources and corrections

Material claims are supported by primary or authoritative sources wherever possible, and each article lists its main sources. Readers may challenge a record or suggest a correction. Substantive corrections are made transparently.

Records and definitions

Claims such as “deepest” or “largest” depend on what is measured. We state the definition we use, for example active mining depth below the surface or annual production, and we update records when operations change.

Contributed articles

Contributed work must meet the same editorial requirements as articles commissioned by ResourceClips. We may edit, fact-check, decline or withdraw any submission. See Write for Us.

Use of AI

All texts and images in ResourceClips articles are prepared with AI assistance.

AI support is greater in documentation and polishing of texts. However, any data found by AI is checked directly from the sources. Jack Hartley chooses every subject and what to stress in every article and reviews everything before going public. Nothing goes out without his review.

Financial interests

Jack Hartley has no current financial interest in any mining company, including the companies mentioned on ResourceClips. No article is sponsored or paid for by a company it covers. ResourceClips explains how mines and mineral markets work; nothing published here is investment advice.
