Manitou reports Ontario Gold Assays as high as 5.6 g/t over 3.5m

May 8th, 2012

Resource Clips - essential news on junior gold mining and junior silver miningManitou Gold Inc TSXV:MTU announced assay results from its Kenwest Property in northwest Ontario. Highlights include

2.2 g/t gold over 5.4 metres
2 g/t over 5.4 metres
5.7 g/t over 2 metres
0.8 g/t over 9.4 metres
1 g/t over 4.8 metres
0.8 g/t over 11 metres
5.6 g/t over 3.5 metres
1.4 g/t over 8.5 metres
7 g/t over 1.8 metres

President Todd Keast stated, “The drill results along this 275-metre trend further demonstrate the exceptional exploration potential for Manitou Gold to identify a multitude of high-grade shoots. With the recent acquisition of the Elora Patents from Seafield Resources TSXV:SFF we are confident that we will be able to efficiently identify and delineate a number of new discoveries. It may be significant that a 300-metre wide section between the Big Master Mine on the Kenwest Property and the past producing Laurentian Mine on the Elora Patents has never been explored. The historical property boundaries hindered work in this location. The high density of shafts in the area, the shallow level of exploration and development, and the relatively large size (800-metres width) of the zone containing the multiple gold-bearing shear zones are all positive indicators of the exploration potential.”
