Moneta Porcupine reports Ontario Gold Assays of 1.04 g/t over 55m

May 2nd, 2012

Resource Clips - essential news on junior gold mining and junior silver miningMoneta Porcupine Mines Inc TSX:ME announced drill results from the Gap Zone of its Golden Highway Project in Ontario. Highlights include

1.04 g/t gold over 55 metres (including 5.52 g/t over 4 metres)
1.14 g/t over 39 metres
1.17 g/t over 46 metres
0.99 g/t over 14.3 metres
0.89 g/t over 34.7 metres (including 29.11 g/t over 0.4 metres)
0.69 g/t over 18.1 metres (including 1.11 g/t over 6.6 metres)
0.82 g/t over 12.3 metres (including 1.35 g/t over 5.3 metres)

President/CEO Ian Peres remarked, “These Gap Zone results continue to establish the near surface linkage between the Southwest Zone and Windjammer South NI 43-101 resource open-pit outlines. Additional drilling and internal modeling is underway to confirm continuity and in-pit resource expansion potential. We are currently drilling the Windjammer Central priority target area, located north of Windjammer South, with results pending. It now appears that we have a 2.5-kilometre long potential open-pit configuration using conservative estimating parameters, with strong gold potential at depth and along large cross-structures. During 2012 we will work on further defining the economics of the large open-pit project and continue exploring the deeper extensions as well as the associated cross-structures. We are very pleased with developments to date.”

1.05 g/t gold over 9 metres
0.72 g/t over 56.6 metres
6.74 g/t over 1 metre
5.86 g/t over 1 metre
0.89 g/t over 12 metres
0.76 g/t over 140 metres (including 1.02 g/t over 73 metres)
0.94 g/t over 53.6 metres (including 1.42 g/t over 26.1 metres)
0.72 g/t over 55 metres (including 1.06 g/t over 22 metres)

President/CEO Ian Peres said, “Windjammer Central is one of the key target areas in 2012 and we are pleased with the results to date. This large mineralized envelope is important as it lies between Windjammer North and Windjammer South and has the potential to develop into a new gold resource which may incorporate Windjammer North, and have possible linkage to Windjammer South.”

Moneta reports Ontario Assays as high as 1.76 g/t over 41.8m

April 1st, 2011

Moneta Porcupine Mines Inc TSX:ME announced assays from the Windjammer South Zone of its Golden Highway Project in Ontario. Results include 13.35 g/t gold over 0.5 metres, 1.76 g/t over 41.8 metres (including 11.88 g/t over 3.7 metres), 8.66 g/t over 1.3 metres, 0.76 g/t over 8.5 metres, 0.99 g/t over 10.8 metres and 0.99 g/t over 9.5 metres.

President/CEO Ian Peres said, “These results demonstrate the potential for significant resource expansion in the Windjammer South NI 43-101 resource and the largely untested potential for mineralization well south of the historical drilling along the iron formation, similar to the discovery of the 267 Zone and 273 Zones in the Southwest Zone. Follow-up drilling will focus on near-surface resource expansion, particularly south of the iron formation and along its strike both to the southwest and into the gap area between Windjammer South and the Southwest Zone.”
