Red Eagle Mining (TSX-V:RD) is a well financed gold exploration and development company with two gold properties in Colombia and an experienced exploration and management team.
Mining at the Santa Rosa project pre-dates the 16th century. Red Eagle has delineated over 60 historic sluice workings and over 400 adits and shafts which have been mined more recently. A 12,000 metre core drill program was completed in Q1 2012 at Santa Rosa with mineralised intercepts averaging 1.21 g/t Au. A 5,000 metre second phase resource definition program and a preliminary metallurgical program have recently commenced. A 5,000 metre third phase core drilling program delineating the near surface oxides will commence in June. The expansive Pavo Real project has numerous target types including porphyry, skarn, breccia and broad quartz vein and veinlet systems in sedimentary host rocks. Red Eagle also holds an additional portfolio of exploration properties throughout Colombia.
Mr. Slater has been involved in the mining industry for over twenty years. He is also the Chairman of Black Eagle Mining (developing the Blackstone 200mt metallurgical coal deposit in Alberta) and Slater Mining (developing the West Khazret gold project in Kazakhstan). Previously, Mr. Slater worked for sixteen years for international accounting firms including Managing Partner of both Ernst & Young's Canadian and Arthur Andersen's Central Asian Mining Practices. Mr. Slater is a Chartered Accountant.
Mr. Johnson has thirty-seven years of geological experience, including eighteen years of experience in senior management positions with public mining companies. His experience ranges from grassroots exploration to mineral production. Mr. Johnson has participated in the discovery and development of mines at Mina Santa Rosa, Honduras and La Libertad, Nicaragua, as well as significant increases in Mineral Reserves at Mina Santa Rosa, Panama; Bonanza, Nicaragua and El Limon, Colombia. Mr. Bell has worked internationally in the mining industry for over forty years. Earlier in his career he was employed as a Mine Manager and Mine Superintendent on numerous projects. Mr. Bell was one of the founding partners of Minproc Engineers' Mining Division and was responsible for a large number of bankable feasibility studies. Most recently, he was General Manager of the Chelopech Mine in Bulgaria. Mr. Bell has accumulated a wealth of experience in the construction of numerous mines around the world. Mr. Bell is a graduate Mining Engineer from the Western Australian School of Mines.
Mr. Pease was previously the founder, CEO and a Director of Terrane Metals which was acquired in 2010 by Thompson Creek Metals. Previously, he was employed by Placer Dome for twenty five years, most recently as General Manager, Canada Exploration and Global Major Projects. He was responsible for managing all aspects of Placer Dome's Canadian exploration, and overseeing the geological aspects of world-wide advanced, major exploration and developments projects.
