“Vancouver’s Howe Street community is mourning the passing of one of its younger stars today” with news that Ryan Fletcher has died, Chris Parry reported in Stockhouse on July 22. The interim CFO/director of Montan Mining TSXV:MNY was 31.
Among those offering tributes was geologist Jody Dahrouge. He told Parry that about 12 or 18 months ago Fletcher “took time off to refocus and travelled through India, Nepal, west Africa and Turkey, amongst other locations. While in Nepal, he teamed up with his father and a friend or two (Ryan could count most people he knew as his friend—not always common in this industry) and donated his time to help construct/improve a woman’s shelter. They provided it with solar power so these people could just be a bit better off. But that was Ryan.”
