Avion reports Mali Gold Results as high as 1.92 g/t over 35m

Resource Clips - essential news on junior gold mining and junior silver miningAvion Gold Corp TSX:AVR announced assays from the Betea Zone of its Kofi Property in Mali. Results include

1.92 g/t gold over 35 metres
3.46 g/t over 15 metres
2.12 g/t over 24 metres
1.69 g/t over 31 metres
4.48 g/t over 10 metres
1.98 g/t over 23 metres

The property’s estimated mineral resources lie within the Kofi Nord concession of which Avion holds an 81.25% interest, with 12.5% held by African Mining Selection Corp and 6.25% by Societe Financiere d’Exploration d’Or au Mali. These interests are prior to a carried interest of up to 20% due to the Mali government on beginning production. Therefore indicated mineral resources of 238,000 gold ounces and inferred mineral resources of 299,000 gold ounces are credited to Avion. The total resource estimate is 3.24 million tonnes grading 2.55 g/t for 293,000 gold ounces indicated and 5.26 million tonnes grading 2.18 g/t for 368,000 gold ounces inferred.
