Gold Canyon reports Ontario Gold Assays up to 1.37 g/t over 132m

Gold Canyon Resources Inc TSXV:GCU announced assays from its Springpole Gold Project in the Red Lake Mining Camp, Ontario. Results include 0.82 g/t gold over 68.5 metres, 0.99 g/t over 154.3 metres, 1.37 g/t over 132 metres (including 2.5 g/t over 45 metres), 1.15 g/t over 150 metres (including 3.01 g/t over 14 metres) and 1.04 g/t over 139 metres.

Geologist Quinton Hennigh commented, “The Winter 2011 diamond drill program came to a close on April 8. We are very pleased to have accomplished nearly 8,500 metres of drilling in 33 holes this winter, just under our planned 9,000 metres of drilling. Overall, 18,909 metres in 61 drill holes have been drilled in the first three phases of a planned 20,000-metre program. Our first deep drill test of the Portage Zone has now commenced as we have completed our drilling on the ice. We expect this hole to be completed by mid-May.”
