Sandspring reports Guyana Gold Assays as high as 2.09 g/t over 138m

Sandspring Resources Ltd TSXV:SSP announced drill results from its Toroparu Gold-Copper Deposit in Guyana, South America. Assays include 2.09 g/t gold over 138 metres, 1.3 g/t over 88.5 metres, 1.47 g/t over 51 metres, 1.16 g/t over 75 metres, 1.01 g/t over 54 metres, 1.06 g/t over 46.56 metres, 1.05 g/t over 55.5 metres, 1.18 g/t over 54 metres and 1.23 g/t over 81 metres.

President Abraham Drost commented, “Results from the ongoing infill drill program at Toroparu suggest potential for enhanced grade within the PEA production pit model area as the company converts inferred to measured and/or indicated resources in preparation for a future resource update and commencement of a definitive feasibility study as recommended by P&E Mining Consultants. The company also continues to pursue considerable expansion potential within the newly defined deposit envelope released in the March 2011 press release and along trend in other areas marked by geochemical, gradient IP results, and historical alluvial gold workings.”
