Edgewater reports Ghana Gold Assays up to 1.72 g/t over 24m

Edgewater Exploration Ltd TSXV:EDW announced results from its Enchi Gold Project in Ghana, West Africa. Assays include 4.75 g/t gold over 11 metres (including 44.2 g/t over 1 metre), 1.72 g/t over 24 metres, 1.13 g/t over 34 metres (including 3.84 g/t over 8 metres), 2.6 g/t over 10 metres, 1.04 g/t over 21 metres, 1.08 g/t over 15 metres, 1.89 g/t over 8 metres, 1.2 g/t over 12 metres, 2.15 g/t over 5 metres, 1.32 g/t over 8 metres, 1.45 g/t over 7 metres and 2.02 g/t over 5 metres.

President/CEO George Salamis remarked, “These are some of the widest and highest grade gold intercepts reported to date on Enchi, and we continue to outline encouraging gold mineralization at vertical depths of less than 50 metres. As the 35,000-metre drill program continues to accelerate with additional rigs, we expect to drill-test these same multi-kilometre long gold bearing structures at shallow depths averaging 150 metres or less. At Kinross Gold’s Chirano mine, located 70 kilometres northeast of the Enchi project, individual gold deposits are known to extend to over 700 metres in depth.”
