Gold Canyon reports Ontario Gold Assays up to 1.08 g/t over 302m

Gold Canyon Resources Inc TSXV:GCU announced drill results from the Portage and Portage-Main Zones of its Springpole Gold Project in Ontario. Assays include 1.39 g/t gold over 302 metres (including 126.51 g/t over 1 metre), 1.18 g/t over 73.5 metres, 1.08 g/t over 169 metres (including 18.51 g/t over 3 metres), 2.51 g/t over 59 metres (including 7.28 g/t over 11 metres) and 1.09 g/t over 85.6 metres (including 1.38 g/t over 26 metres).

Technical Advisor Quinton Hennigh commented, “Holes SP11-033 and -34 come from an area near the middle of the Portage Zone where there is mostly historic drilling from nearly 20 years ago. Though we are pleased that both holes produced long intervals of typical Portage style mineralization, the high grade in SP11-033 is something not previously seen in modern or historic drilling. We are hopeful further drilling in this area might produce more of this style of mineralization. We are also very pleased to see near surface mineralization in holes SP11-030 and -031 drilled in the gap between the Main and Portage zones. We can now confidently say that gold mineralization is continuous for a distance of 1.35 kilometres from the Main Zone in the northwest to the present terminus of the Portage Zone in the southeast.”
