MDN reports Quebec Gold Assays up to 1.18 g/t over 54.5m

MDN Inc MDN:CA in joint venture with SOQUEM Inc announced assays from the MCGold property near Chibougamau, Quebec. Results include 0.9 g/t gold over 51.5 metres (including 2.8 g/t over 10 metres), 1.18 g/t over 54.5 metres, 2.18 g/t over 21 metres, 7.81 g/t over 11.9 metres, 15.65 g/t over 1.6 metres, 38.06 g/t over 1.5 metres and 1.89 g/t over 37.5 metres (including 3.92 g/t over 12.5 metres). MDN has an option to acquire 50% of the property from SOQUEM.

VP Exploration Marc Boisvert stated, “We are pleased to have achieved our first objective for the MCGold deposit. The grade is in fact higher than in adjacent historical holes. Pockets of high-grade ore have been located and their distribution and grade might improve the economics of the deposit. Six additional holes located on two drilling sections are now being assayed, and the results will be integrated in a block model in the coming months.”
