Avion reports Mali Gold Assays up to 6.05 g/t over 27m

Avion Gold Corporation AVR:CA announced assays from its Kofi Project in Mali, West Africa. Highlights include 6.05 g/t gold over 27 metres, 3.83 g/t over 52 metres, 6.05 g/t over 21 metres, 4.86 g/t over 14.1 metres, 9.14 g/t over 14.7 metres, 50.99 g/t over 4.5 metres, 13.44 g/t over 11.2 metres and 6.05 g/t over 11.2 metres.

Senior VP Exploration Don Dudek said, “These initial drill results strongly demonstrate the potential for mineable grades and widths on the Kofi property in a setting that has already produced gold resources of more than 24 million ounces. Avion has the advantage of learning from all of the previous work done in the region to further leverage its exploration efforts on this relatively underexplored property.”
