Gold Canyon reports Ontario Gold Assays up to 1.17 g/t over 353m

Gold Canyon Resources Inc GCU:CA announced results from its Springpole Gold Project in the Red Lake Mining District of Ontario. Assay highlights include 1.17 g/t gold over 353 metres (including 8.31 g/t over 4 metres and 2.38 g/t over 66 metres), 6.36 g/t over 9 metres, 45 g/t over 1 metre and 1.53 g/t over 38 metres (including 4.21 g/t over 9 metres).

Geologist Quinton Hennigh commented, “Hole SP10-026 indicates the Portage Zone widens dramatically at its northwest end at depth. The interval of porphyry-style mineralization encountered in hole SP10-025 further adds intrigue and suggests that the Portage Zone may be plunging underneath the Main Zone where there is little historic drilling. We are giving careful consideration to this possibility and may plan one or two holes to test for buried extensions of the Portage Zone underneath the Main Zone.”
