Clifton Star, Osisko report Quebec Gold Assays up to 3.38 g/t over 41.6m

Clifton Star Resources Inc CFO:CA in joint venture with Osisko Mining Corporation OSK:CA announced results from the Duparquet Project in the Abitibi region of Quebec. Assay highlights include 2.63 g/t gold over 21 metres, 3.76 g/t over 21.5 metres, 4.2 g/t over 23.1 metres, 1.98 g/t over 48.5 metres, 1.29 g/t over 24 metres, 2.52 g/t over 36 metres, 1.38 g/t over 68.7 metres, 3.38 g/t over 41.6 metres, 2.93 g/t over 33 metres, 1.63 g/t over 45.5 metres and 2.24 g/t over 40 metres. Osisko has the right to acquire a 50% interest in Duparquet Project and is the project operator.

Clifton Star President/CEO Harry Miller tells, “We obviously like the results. And they’re consistent with what we expect on the Beattie. The Beattie is one component of this cyanide-porphyry structure starting from the west—then you have adjacent and contiguous with that the Donchester, Central Duparquet, Dumico and the Duquesne. So, as Clifton Star drilled almost 100,000 metres, and now Osisko with 123,000 metres, it’s pretty well confirming what we expect. Before the year’s out we’re looking forward to the remaining results in the Donchester, which in the past has given us higher values and wider widths.

“We’re obviously very sanguine about our chances going forward. And I stress that we are looking for a open pit scenario as well as an underground scenario.”
