Alexandria President/CEO Eric Owens on Quebec assays of 1.13 g/t gold over 7 metres

“This is an historical producer that has been inactive for the last 30 or 40 years, and the recent results were of interest because we’ve been steadily expanding this deposit throughout the year. This is one more step in that activity. We do think that all the characteristics that we see suggest that there’s something fairly good-sized down there. And that’s what’s exciting about this project. We’re pretty happy with these results.

“Everything we’ve been testing so far is fairly shallow. This intersection was at a 200-metre depth, which is one of the deeper holes out there—although we have one other hole down to about 325 metres—but by and large most of the holes that we’ve drilled and that past explorers and miners in the region have drilled have been up in the upper 150 metres. By comparison to other deposits in the region, we are really just scratching the surface. So it’s important in that regard.”
