African Gold reports Mali Gold Assays as high as 1.03 g/t over 79m

African Gold Group Inc AGG:CA announced drill results from its Kobada Gold Project in Mali, West Africa. Assay highlights include 1.03 g/t gold over 79 metres (including 10.9 g/t over 1 metre), 2.57 g/t over 64 metres (including 98.68 g/t over 1 metre), 1.02 g/t over 11 metres, 1.05 g/t over 15 metres, 2.45 g/t over 19 metres (32.99 g/t over 1 metre) and 0.79 g/t over 36 metres.

President/CEO Michael Nikiforuk said, “The results of our 2010 drill campaign continue to demonstrate a substantial increase in tonnage and grade within the Zone 1 deposit. We note that 50% of the holes reported in this press release have ended in mineralization, boding well for future development. In addition, what is also becoming abundantly clear and of great importance is the noted significant increase in grade and the length of mineralized intercepts in the southern region of the Zone 1 deposit, commencing on section 2300S and continuing 500 meters south, through to section 2800S.”
