Corex reports Mexico Gold Assays up to 0.97 g/t gold over 103.5m

Corex Gold Corporation CGE:CA announced results from its Santana Property in Sonora State, Mexico. Assay highlights include 0.97 g/t gold over 103.5 metres (including 5.29 g/t over 1.4 metres), 1.03 g/t over 5.2 metres, 2.16 g/t over 28.6 metres, 1.59 g/t over 5.3 metres, 1.16 g/t over 16.8 metres, 0.8 g/t over 47.5 metres and 0.85 g/t over 23.8 metres.

President/CEO Craig Schneider tells ResourceClips.com, “The most recent results are just confirming the broader scope of one particular area on the Santana Project, and that’s our Nicho area. So what we’re doing is proving-out along strike and down dip towards a better understanding of the magnitude of the project. Now, that being said, this is just one target area that we’ve drilled. We have another two that we’ve indicated through the drill bit, and more importantly we’re also in the process of drilling some more of the blue sky targets. Some are upwards of 800 metres away from these known gold zones. So, effectively, we’re just building out the project in a rapid fashion. And we are continuing to do so, and will be for the next 12 months with an aggressive 20,000 metre drill program.

“The outlook is absolutely optimistic,” concludes Schneider. “We’re very encouraged with what we see. It’s early stages, but it’s a very large system that we’re into, and we’re proving up as much as we can as fast as we can.”
