San Gold Corporation SGR:CA announced results from the 007 Zone, two kilometres northeast of San Gold’s Rice Lake Mine and Mill in Manitoba. Assay highlights include 66.1 g/t gold over 12 metres including 125.6 g/t over 0.3 metres, 115.8 g/t over 1.4 metres, 31.5 g/t over 0.8 metres, 98.8 g/t over 0.6 metres, 406.4 g/t over 1 metre and 98.6 g/t over 0.4 metres.
CEO Dale Ginn said, “It appears as though the Shoreline Basalt has the ability to host mineralization wherever it interacts with a shear zone. This is consistent with the original host rock for the Rice Lake Mine and as such, we expect that our new zones will have great depth extensions as well. We look forward to reporting results from the deep exploration drilling that we are conducting on these zones from the 26th and 28th levels of the Rice Lake Mine.”
