Kalahari reports Quebec Gold Assays up to 2.17 g/t over 14m

Kalahari Resources Inc KLA:CA announced results from the Forestel Zone of its Lamaque Property in the Val d’Or Gold Camp, Quebec. Assay highlights include 2.17 g/t gold over 14 metres, 22.79 g/t over 2.9 metres, 14.57 g/t over 1.3 metres, 31.18 g/t over 1.4 metres, 23.89 g/t over 1 metre, 23.19 g/t over 2 metres and 13.34 g/t over 3.2 metres.

Kevin Hull of Investor Relations tells ResourceClips.com, “When you consider how prolific the area around the Lamaque property has been and continues to be, the highlights from this news release take on an even greater significance. The two mines virtually across the street from the Forestel Zone brought out around 9 million ounces of gold. One of those mines has been recommissioned and is working again. The Forestel Zone is thought by some geologists to link up with the 10 Zone and parallel zones, which would create one contiguous zone of over two kilometres in strike length. And it’s still open in both directions.

“These are quite good results. When you realize the company already has a 43-101 that doesn’t include these zones, you’re looking at the possibility that it has, with an updated 43-101, enough of an inferred resource to go to a pre-feasability study.”
