Gold Canyon reports Ontario Gold Assays as high as 1.45 g/t over 223 m

Gold Canyon Resources Inc GCU:CA announced drill results from the Portage Zone of its Springpole Gold Project in the Red Lake Mining District, Ontario. Assays include 1.45 g/t gold over 223 metres (including 4.64 g/t over 27 metres), 0.79 g/t gold and 8.55 g/t silver over 133 metres (including 2.54 g/t gold over 9 metres and 8.76 g/t gold over 3 metres), 1.03 g/t gold and 4.71 g/t silver over 305 metres.

Geologist and Technical Advisor Quinton Hennigh commented, “The Portage Zone continues to deliver consistent drill results. Hole SP10-022 is the southeast-most hole drilled by Gold Canyon to date. We feel confident our upcoming winter drill program will continue to expand this very large gold system. We are also pleased to see consistently high silver from the Portage Zone. Our silver assays suggest that, in essence, we are finding a few ounces of silver for every ounce of gold.”
