“The Burns block property is situated to the east of Rainy River Resources’ RR:CA much larger deposit, and they’ve been at it for about eight years. They’ve got an NI 43-101 showing that they have 5 million ounces at an average grade of 1.25 g/t gold. So this is a low-grade, high-tonnage situation. And these low-grade high-tonnage proven deposits are becoming attractive to take into production. What we are attempting to do is prove up our own tonnage that may be included in a future mine to be added to Rainy River’s deposit. So we’re not looking at this as a stand-alone situation.
“We are happy with the assay results. They are completely in line with what Rainy River is pulling up at that depth. We’re pretty much pulling the same thing. We have in previous drill results hit some high-grade—which is a bonus. As we track eastward across the property we’re about 130 metres inside our border with Rainy River. We have about 670 metres to go before we’re all the way over to our other border. We’ve announced 28 holes out of 150-hole drill program, so we obviously have a ways to go.”
