Avion Gold Corporation AVR:CA announced assays from the Tabokoto Pit of its Tabokoto Gold Project in Mali. Highlights include 1.9 g/t over 14.5 metres, 5.56 g/t over 4.5 metres, 2.31 g/t over 9.1 metres, 8.56 g/t over 7.5 metres, 10.76 g/t over 2 metres, 67.71 g/t over 3.3 metres, 10.06 g/t over 1.9 metres, 24.11 g/t over 3.8 metres, 275.35 g/t over 2 metres, 1.46 g/t over 15.7 metres, 12.07 g/t over 12.5 metres and 59.53 g/t over 1.1 metres.

President/CEO John Begeman said, “It is great to see additional high grade intercepts from the Tabakoto pit area. The strongest of these high grade structures will be the early focus of Avion’s underground development. It is management’s opinion that with the abundance of mineralized structures in the Tabakoto Pit area more drilling will lead to the definition of more resources which could extend the life of the project.”
