Premier, Goldstone report Ontario Gold Assays up to 7.92 g/t over 114.5 m

Premier Gold Mines Limited PG:CA in joint venture with Goldstone Resources Inc GRC:CA announced assays from the Hardrock Project in northwestern Ontario. Highlights include 7.92 g/t gold over 114.5 metres (including 23.56 g/t over 31 metres) and 18.49 g/t over 20.5 metres (including 348 g/t over 0.8 metres). Premier holds a 70% interest in the Hardrock Project, Goldstone holds 30%.

Premier President/CEO Ewan Downie tells, “Hardrock would be considered our number two project next to the Red Lake Property. Last year we announced a pretty sizeable open-pit resource, and this year we’re drilling-off underground resources on the property. The drilling today was part of our step-out and resource confirmation drilling that we’re doing to upgrade our underground zones to NI 43-101 status—and hopefully get a considerable increase in ounces by the end of the year.

“These are pretty spectacular drill results. Grades and widths were better than we were expecting in those areas. It’s pretty nice when that happens. Usually the opposite happens in our industry: you drill an area to extend your zone and get low grades. But these holes meet the high end of our expectations.”
