Luna reports Brazil Gold Assays up to 63.62 g/t over 6.9m

Luna Gold Corp LGC:CA announced assays from the Tucano deposit of its Cachoeira Project in northeast Brazil. Results include 5.91 g/t gold over 15 metres, 3.37 g/t over 15 metres, 63.62 g/t over 6.9 metres, 31.06 g/t over 16.59 metres, 15.7 g/t over 31.44 metres, 3.53 g/t over 15 metres, 3.11 g/t over 10.98 metres and 2.8 g/t over 18 metres (including 4.98 g/t over 9 metres).

VP Exploration Titus Haggan commented, “The 2010 exploration programs at the Tucano deposit are complete and work is well advanced on the NI 43-101 resource estimate and technical report. The results have considerably enhanced our understanding of the geology and structural controls on gold mineralization at Tucano. Exploration programs are also nearing completion at the Coruja and Arara targets and assay data will be released for these targets in due course.”
