Eagle Plains reports Yukon Trench Assays of 4.9 g/t Gold over 6m

Eagle Plains Resources Ltd EPL:CA announced trench assays from its Dragon Lake Project, northeast of Ross River, Yukon. Results include 4.9 g/t gold and 1.1 g/t silver over 6 metres (including 6.7 g/t gold and 1.4 g/t silver over 4 metres, 19 g/t gold and 1.9 g/t silver over 1 metre).

Investor Relations Manager Mike Labach told ResourceClips.com, “These results are identifying the extent of mineralization on the surface, and we’re pleased with them. This is now a project that is attractive to companies to joint venture with us or option from us.

“We are strongly recommending follow-up exploration on the property; it’s very similar to the other big projects in the Yukon where we’re seeing low grades but a large deposit. And we’re in that trend of the Tintina Gold Belt. It hosts the potential for high grade and bulk tonnage gold mineralization. And given that the Yukon is on fire—particularly in the same belt that we’re reporting here—that’s good.”
