Rainy River reports Ontario Gold Assays as high as 58 g/t over 3m

Rainy River Resources Ltd RR:CA announced assay results from its Rainy River Gold Project in Northwestern Ontario. Highlights include 2.46 g/t gold over 40.5 metres (including 21.47 g/t over 3 metres), 0.83 g/t over 52.5 metres, 1.67 g/t over 32.4 metres (including 16.79 g/t over 1.5 metres), 3.74 g/t over 43.5 metres (including 21.44 g/t over 1.5 metres), 58 g/t over 3 metres (including 113.61 g/t over 1.5 metres) and 33.63 g/t over 3 metres.

President/CEO Raymond Threlkeld commented, “These results highlight the size and quality of the gold system we are dealing with. The flexibility the deposit offers for development, combined with local infrastructure and availability of labour and services, set it apart from other major gold deposits in Canada. We will be following up on the best step-out targets in the new year with an initial 50,000 metre exploration program, including testing the down-dip extension of our primary gold zones to 2,000 metres below surface.”
