Almaden reports BC Gold Assays including 1.96 g/t over 14.5m

Almaden Minerals Ltd AMM:CA announced results from its Elk Gold Project in southern BC. Assay highlights include 2.23 g/t gold over 1.1 metres, 10.45 g/t over 0.5 metres, 11.09 g/t over 0.5 metres, 1.29 g/t over 4.9 metres, 6.28 g/t over 2.1 metres, 1.96 g/t over 14.5 metres (including 14.57 g/t over 1.8 metres), 5.46 g/t over 1.5 metres, 3.2 g/t over 1.4 metres.

Chairman J.D. Poliquin commented, “These further results from our 2010 program are continued confirmation of both the high grade and bulk tonnage potential of the Elk deposit. We are excited about the resource we have developed at Elk and hope to release the results of a Preliminary Economic Assessment and updated resource estimation later this month.”
