Valdez and Millrock report Alaska Gold Assays including 3.8 g/t over 32m

Valdez Gold Inc VAZ:CA in joint venture with Millrock Resources Inc MRO:CA announced assays of the Bluff Gold Project on the Seward Peninsula, Alaska. Results include 2.69 g/t gold over 3.1 metres, 2.02 g/t over 7.6 metres, 1.44 g/t over 10.7 metres, 1.93 g/t over 32 metres and 3.81 g/t over 32 metres (including 9 g/t over 12.2 metres). Valdez is funding exploration work on the Bluff Project to earn up to a 75% interest in it. Millrock is presently the operator for exploration activities on the project.

Valdez President/CEO Michael Skead told, “They’re very interesting results, as you can see, and I think it’s a good start. We basically wanted to make sure that what had been drilled previously were real intersections. The results were in some cases better than expected, in some cases they were consistent with expectations.

“We’re gaining a good understanding of the area, and I think we can further our understanding through a detailed geophysical airborne program, plus some decent structural mapping. Once we’ve done that, I think we’ll be drilling mid to late next season. This is a good footprint to expand on.”
