San Gold Corporation SGR:CA reported results from its Hinge Mine in Manitoba. Assay highlights include 7.5 g/t gold over 8.7 metres, 12.7 g/t over over 11.6 metres (including 22.3 g/t over 3.7 metres), 8.6 g/t over 6.6 metres (including 16.4 g/t over 2.4 metres), 12 g/t over 5.3 metres and 31.5 g/t over 2.6 metres.
CEO Dale Ginn told ResourceClips.com, “The results show that aside from high grade typical veins, we also have wider, bulkier veins that are amenable to higher volume mining methods. So we’ve got a mix, basically, of extremely high grade, narrower veins and wider average-to-good veins. The results are consistent with the large mine next door, the Rice Lake Mine; it’s just that the Hinge Mine has only been developed in the last year or so, so it’s relatively new.
“We’re extremely pleased both with the consistency of the results and that they’re proving that our Hinge deposit goes deep,” concluded Ginn. “We expected this, but now we’re seeing it proved out.”
