Kirkland Lake reports Ontario Gold Assays including 70.3 g/t over 4.9m

Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. KGI:CA announced results from its Macassa property in the southern Abitibi Greenstone Belt of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Assay highlights include 70.3 g/t gold over 4.9 metres (including 734.5 g/t over 0.3 metres), 13.9 g/t over 1.4 metres, 86.7 g/t over 2 metres and 32.9 g/t over 5.9 metres (including 84.2 g/t over 0.8 metres).

Chief Exploration Geologist Stewart Carmichael said, “This latest round of drilling not only confirms the strength of mineralization on the east portion of the South Mine Complex but also increases both the down and up dip components. As planned, we now have most of the exploration drills working on a 14 shift per week schedule, including a new drill bay on the 5300 level to test the up dip component of the SMC.”
