Lake Shore Gold Corp. LSG:CA announced results from its Bell Creek Mine, east of Timmins, Ontario. Assay highlights include 5.85 g/t gold over 42.2 metres (including 30.8 g/t over 7.26 metres), 6.64 g/t over 9.8 metres, 22.06 g/t over 4.1 metres (including 52.8 g/t over 1.5 metres), 4.13 g/t over 15.5 metres (including 9.54 g/t over 3.7 metres and 715 g/t over 0.3 metres) and 5.27 g/t over 6.8 metres.
President/CEO Tony Makuch said, “”We are extremely pleased with these new drill results. The deep intersections reported today extend the new gold system at Bell Creek to depth and confirm the potential for thick and continuous zones of mineralization. The greater than normal thickness of these zones suggests the possibility to implement lower cost bulk mining methods for at least portions of the mine plan.”
