RIC:CA announced results for the drilling program at its Beaufort Mine, northeast of Val d’Or, Quebec. Assays included 12.62 g/t gold over 1.4 metres, 14.09 g/t over 3.76 metres, 6.75 g/t over 5.51 metres and 34.25 g/t over 0.95 metres.
Jennifer Aitken, Investor Relations, told ResourceClips.com, “Beaufort has produced over a million ounces of gold since the 1930s, and it’s still producing. These results are really exciting for us in that they’re more near-surface. This is surface exploration drilling that we’re doing—it’s not in the existing infrastructure of the mine—and the results so far have been very favourable. So we have extended the drilling by another 7,000 metres.”
